Today, we're voting on resolution seven twenty nine, a resolution myself and council member Della Rosa along with additional support from colleagues, which expresses this council's unwavering support of striking SAG AFTRA members in their pursuit of a fair and just contract.

Earlier this week, we rallied in City Halls Park to showcase to the motion picture and television producers that New York City is and always has been a union town, and that they must come back to the table and engage in good faith negotiations.

When they come to us and ask for tax breaks, they always say it's to protect workers and they have shown us time and time again it's about their bottom line.

As a former teamster and local two ten member, the chair of the committee on economic development, and someone who represents a large studio in my district, I look forward to voting on this resolution today for workers.
