The New York City Council held a voice vote on Resolution 237-A, which calls on the New York State Legislature to pass and the governor to sign the Fair College Admissions Act (Assembly Bill 1423-A and Senate Bill 1470-A). This act would prohibit legacy admissions preferences at undergraduate institutions in New York State. The resolution passed by voice vote.
