Leola Holmes, a resident of the community, testifies in support of the 962 Pacific Street Rezoning.
She cites that the project is needed because her children and her children's children cannot afford the prices of the apartments that have gone up in her neighborhood, and states that this project fits the need of what's needed in her community right now.

I serve on the 77 precinct council.

I was also a participant of Community Board Aid, a housing committee.

I've been a resident there for 42 years.

I'm right in the footprint of where they're going to make the housing project over on Pacific Street.

It is desperately needed there because most of my neighbors and myself, we have adult children.

So now this project that's getting ready to happen will actually fit the need of what's desperately needed in my community right now.
