1:44:55
So I wanna thank you.
1:44:57
The first tenant of government is to make people feel safe, and I've always been a proponent of public safety and supportive of the NYPD.
1:45:05
Especially around strengthening community policing.
1:45:07
I also understand the need for accountability and transparency and want to acknowledge this speaker for her fierce advocacy around this.
1:45:15
Intro 5 86 will not take effect until later this year, and I believe there is an opportunity for the administration and counsel to work together on the implementation to ensure that the important transparency that is being so it occurs without public safety being impeded.

This past weekend, they joined other council colleagues in a ride along with the NYPD and learned that separate from intro 586 police officers are inundated with other paperwork as was mentioned by my colleague, council member, Denowitz, that all of us should be looking to address on how to digitize So our offices spend more time on the streets keeping us safe.
1:45:50
And I wanna say that some of that is internal to the NYPD, but a lot of it is cross systems.
1:45:56
We the offices I spoke to said that sometimes their systems don't link up with the DA's offices, and that's something that has to be fixed.
1:46:03
And I and making a commitment to work with people to do that.
1:46:06
And with that, I vote I on all.
