I know it's been a long day, so I will keep it brief.

I just did wanna say a few words about my former colleague and a very good friend of mine, Paul Malone.

Who we lost this Sunday.

I suppose to start with him.

He was an extraordinary guy, a great colleague, and somebody who I think is a great model for a lot of us as we do this job, very difficult job every day.

I've known Paul even before, I got the chance to serve with him.

I know his family for years.

I know the speaker and others also had the privilege to serve with him and the loss of of him is aloft to the city.

Obviously, he was serving the city in as a job in the Department of Edinburgh Affairs.

But is a person that I think many of us could look to for a good laugh, for a great colleague and somebody who really cared deeply about this city and his district.

And, of course, goes back all the way to his father and the service and actually his grandfather and the service they provided to the city.

So he was a gem of a human being.

I keep using that term because it's really and it's the one thing that I really think encapsulates Paul.

And I just wanna I wanna send my condolences out to his entire family, the balloons, and the consonants, and opals, and everyone.

That had the opportunity, the special opportunity to get to know Paul.

He'll be deeply, deeply missed.

And I hope all of us can carry a little bit of his spirit into this job every single no day.
