Christopher Leon Johnson begins his testimony with an apology for a previous incident involving the Workers' Justice Project and then moves on to criticize the influence of non-profits on City Council decisions, particularly regarding street vending on the Brooklyn Bridge and e-bike regulations. Johnson describes street vending on the bridge as an eyesore and expresses support for their removal, citing the bridge's stature as a tourist attraction. He calls for more inclusive dialogues involving all stakeholders, beyond non-profits, in shaping bills related to street vending and e-bike regulations.

Apologize everybody that support what I do.
3:17:10
So going forward this, a lot of these bills, a lot of these bills, and the city council They look good on paper, but the issue is we have the the the nonprofits that are running the city council influencing all these that's that's really against all these all these bills, especially when it comes to the the Brooklyn Bridge situation.
3:17:35
Now I walk the Brooklyn Bridge every mostly, every every month, and It's a eyesore.
3:17:41
The stuff that the street vendors, all of them are eyesores.
3:17:44
It's a straight eyesore.
3:17:45
I understand each I make some money, but it's just a pure eyesore.
3:17:48
Now, the mayor's office was correct of getting rid of all of them because it's a big problem.
3:17:53
That's a that's a tourist attraction.
3:17:54
Why are you gonna make a tourist attraction into a a free fall, like a durable country.
3:18:03
It's just ridiculous.
3:18:04
Now, I know who behind that the street vendor's project, which is under the arbitrage center, that's influencing to kill that bill because the city council, they are all scared of the treatment of products because of the political power they have.
3:18:19
Now there's another there's another thing I'm gonna talk about is about ebikesregulations and ebikes storage.
3:18:24
Now you we need to put that in the city council.
3:18:28
We need that to hap have to happen, but we need the people, all the people, all the sides to get together and have a conversation about their bills, mainly with the NY EBSA.
3:18:38
I know you work with them, Julie, with the 86th Street Social Administration, but we had to get everybody involved with these bills.
3:18:46
Not just these nonprofits.
3:18:47
