Council Member Sanchez introduces three pivotal bills aimed at significantly improving fire safety protocols across New York City. The bills focus on enhancing the qualifications for smoke control system inspectors, requiring the FDNY to expand its fire notification process to include local officials, and extending fire hazard training to HPD and DOB inspectors to ensure comprehensive safety. These measures come in response to frequent fires in the Bronx and the tragic Twin Parks Northwest Fire incident.
