Losar Tashida Lake, it is so It is such an honor for me.
0:55:37
Today, I am introducing intro 100, which was a spend alternate side parking on Los Angeles holiday.
0:55:43
This is a crucial Tibetan and Himalayan new holiday for New Yorkers who are able to stay home with their families during the important religious and cultural holiday without being disrupted or worried about getting a ticket or being towed.
0:55:55
So suspending alternate side parking on LOS R is a practical and symbolic way that we can honor our neighbors and religious practices with the time with their families.

For those who are unfil familiar, Losar or Tibetan Lunar New Year begins this Saturday.
0:56:10
It's celebrated by an estimate of 61,000 Buddhists and Himalayan New Yorkers from Bhutan, India, and Nepal to bed in other countries.
0:56:18
And these New Yorkers are some of the fastest growing communities in my district.
0:56:22
Every year, I have the honor of celebrating Losar at the Tibetan community center in Woodside where families share traditional food, pray, dance, and enjoy other celebrations.
0:56:31
While this year, Losar coincides with Lunar New Year, it can take place 1 or 2 months before or after Lunar New Year celebrated other Asian countries.
0:56:39
So the city already suspends alternate side parking for Lunar New Year, celebrating my home country, like, for Korea, or Vietnam or China.
0:56:48
But along with council members, Krishnan, Joseph, Kaban, Holden Hanif, Nurse And Abiles, who have such financial numbers of Himalayan constituents that celebrate LOSAAR.
0:56:57
I am so happy to be able to introduce this today, and I ask all of my colleagues to join us as a co sponsor of intro 100.
0:57:05
Happy and Los Lard Tashidaire to all those who celebrate.
