This vote is about prioritizing the comprehensive plan for a neighborhood rezoning that council member Hudson is co leading with her local community and the Department of City Planning.

The Atlantic Avenue mixed use plan, which is expected to enter public review this year, is expected to create over 4200 units, including 1200 affordable homes and the private application that is the subject of today's vote exists within that neighborhood rezoning and should be part of that broader plan.

Introduction 39a, sponsored by council member, Shahana Hanif, would require the office to end domestic and gender based violence to establish a trauma informed program.

That connects eligible survivors of domestic or gender based violence to support services, including but not limited to door and window repair service for the dwellings of eligible survivors, as well as a personal emergency response device.

No later than 1 year after establishing the program, the agency would be required to submit a report on the program to the mayor and the council and post the report on the office's website.

The agency would also be required to develop and conduct outreach to inform the public about the program.

We thank our staff member, Sahar Mohammi, and introduction 25 a, sponsored by council member Eric Denowitz, would require the Department of Housing, Preservation, And Development, or HPD, to provide an application form for the senior citizen rent increase, exempted, or scree program 2 eligible residents in Mitchellama developments with all applicable data electronically populated in the application.

After residents submit their annual income affidavits to HPD, the agency would be required to digitize the data and use it to populate screen application forms for residents who are eligible.

The populated form would then be provided to potentially eligible residents along with the letter explaining the features of the screen program and information on how to review the application form and apply for the program.
