So the office of citywide Recruitment was rated specifically to go out into the community, to promote civil service information, specifically to communities that are underrepresented in city government.

And so we conduct what we call a civil service 101 information session that really outlines the process from beginning to end.

On what it means to become a civil servant.

We know that when we go out, a lot of folks don't really understand the different types of jobs that are available in city government.

So we do a breakdown of the different careers, the different paths that are available, and the application process, which includes applying for open competitive jobs on our job board and then applying for the civil service examinations and what that looks like.

So the before process, what we expect during the application process and what to expect afterwards.

And we also really go through the notice of examination so that they have a better under standing of what it is that they're looking for.

Since our creation in 2015, we have done over 1900 events.
