The NYC Housing Authority (NYCHA) outlines the micro purchase process, starting from need identification to the issuance of a purchase order.
- A need is identified within a certain development area.
- A vendor is selected, who then provides a quote and outlines labor, supplies, overhead, and profit.
- The vendor's quote is uploaded in a requisition system, reviewed, and approved.
- Central procurement checks all required documentation such as licensing and insurance.
- Finally, the purchase order is issued, allowing work to commence with the chosen vendor.

So in a program area and in this case of particular development has a determination of need, At that point, then they establish those requirements and then go forward in identifying a vendor.
1:20:00
That vendor then provides a quotation as well as an outline in the template that the small purchase template that outlines the labor, the supplies, the overhead and the profit that's required for that good.
1:20:16
At that point, that's uploaded in a requisition.
1:20:19
Into the system, and then that is routed to an approver, at which point then once it's approved, it comes to central procurement.
1:20:27
And central procurement looks for all of the sufficiency, including licensing and insurance and those other documents that I mentioned.
1:20:35
And then the purchase order is cut, and then the development is free to proceed with the vendor for the work that needs to be performed.
