When we did the reimagining special education, stop bringing an Ames program into the school district.
2:17:23
I visited a great program and queens.
2:17:26
And I travel all over the city to go see great programs and to highlight them.
2:17:29
Bring the bring the aims program into the community school where students don't have to travel outside.
2:17:34
To go to another district 75 when they can have it in their homeschool.
2:17:37
They get to travel with their sibling.
2:17:39
And we know I don't even wanna start talking about transportation.
2:17:42
That's a whole another That's a whole another animal.
2:17:45
$2,000,000,000 and some of my kids are still not getting into schools.
2:17:48
They're not traveling.
2:17:49
They're not making it to school on time, and then they do.
2:17:52
They're late.
2:17:52
They took more to get on to stay on the bus than to get home.
2:17:55
So I have I have so many issues with with these other with these other things.
Dan Weisberg
2:17:59
That's exactly we couldn't agree more, Cheah.
2:18:01
So So rather than getting on a bus to go to a program in Queens, maybe if you live in Brooklyn and you might be on a bus for an hour a half, even things work well.
2:18:10
Why can't we provide that in every district close to home?
2:18:13
That's that's the goal.
2:18:14
That's what we wanna do.
Rita C. Joseph
2:18:15
That's the goal.
2:18:15
And also to make schools accessible, we have to still have too many schools that are not inaccessible where we kids have to travel so far.
2:18:22
And SCA, the the and I'm calling on administration as well to invest more money into making schools accessible.
2:18:28
If I if if I had a mobility issue, I'd like to go around this corner to my school.
2:18:32
I can't because it's not accessible.
2:18:33
So we're also violating all kinds of laws.
