How is the DMMR, which I again, I wanna give you all real credit for how is that informing and helping ops respond more quickly to concerning changes in performance?
Dan Steinberg

Well, I I think my vision for the office was really to take this remarkable data infrastructure that city government already had and and had developed over the course of decades and put it to work as part of a robust and continuous performance management regime.
0:24:44
And that's not possible unless the data is updated more frequently, and we're all working off the same data.
0:24:49
And so so the entire notion of dynamic means that the data is updated, readily available to the council, to us, the public.
0:24:57
And and to us, that's the highest and best use of technology and government.
0:25:01
And and, you know, performance management has to be a constant activity.
0:25:05
It's not a communications exercise when when the MMR was a PDF that was put out twice a year.
0:25:11
That's not performance management.
0:25:14
And and so we needed structures, processes, tools, that feed into a culture of data driven management and policy making.
0:25:22
And that's that's sort of what the DMR is a huge component of.
0:25:26
We got you know, I I I talked about what we did with the team, but but that's how the DMR kinda connects to our larger vision.
0:25:34
And and what we're trying to create within city government.
