Before we get started, I wanna take a moment to thank the entire City Council Finance Division staff for their efforts preparing for today's hearing, including our CFO, deputy chief of staff to the speaker, Tanisha Edwards, and our senior staff, finance director, Rich Lee, managing director, Jonathan Rosenberg, the deputy directors, Emra Depp, Chima OPPACARE, Paul Simone, and Isha Wright, assistant director Liz Hoffman, chief economist, DeLara Damaku, supervising economist Paul Sturm, our unit heads, Aliyah Ali, Julia Hernandez, Flo Cabore, Jimmy Reyes, Jack Story, our finance counsel, Kathleen on and our committee counsel, Mike Tumi, my senior adviser, John Yedden, and all of our analysts and support staff who pulled together the information for today's hearing and make magic happen behind the scenes on a daily basis.

We're here today to examine the mayor's a $109,400,000,000 preliminary budget for FY 25 which is $4,700,000,000 less than our current year budget.
