I had the great honor of serving alongside, Hope Alon, during my tenure in New York City Council, entomni passing is a great loss, not only to his friends, family, and loved ones, but also to the communities, he uplifted it in the lives he touched on time in the council to his time as deputy commissioned for external affairs at the veteran services department.

Paul was a dedicated public servant as a former council member.

He led with confidence and for for what he believed in.

And as our deputy commissioner, he worked tirelessly on behalf of our city's veterans.

I support this council's proposal to rename the Queen's Animal Care Center as a Paul, Avolon Queen's Animal Care Center, renaming the Queen's location after Paul would be a fitting tribute to Anna Paul's work in passing legislation to ensure that there is an animal shelter in every borough I know his family's here.
