  • Alternatives from other cities are being explored to improve the tower design.

Could you share us with us what your plans are?
1:36:56
In the coming year for the the 5 g towers that are being put up around the city?
Matthew Fraser
1:37:03
Oh, so we've recently, as as many may have known, we paused the 5G rollout due to the link 5G.
1:37:12
I I assume you're you're referring exclusively to link 5G.
1:37:15
Alright.
1:37:16
So we paused the 5G rollout due to a number of factors on the federal approval and Recently, we've got no go forward from the FCC, so we have no issues in that space.
1:37:28
Right now, we're looking at a phased rollout, and we're working directly with community boards to let them know when they're coming and where they're going to.
1:37:38
And I think we have a target deployment schedule, which we can share with you that'll show you the specific number of towers that we expect to go out within the next year.
1:37:46
In addition to looking at the towers as they currently sit, we're currently reassessing design design elements to see if there are other ways that we can account other ways we can bring that out.
1:37:57
Because some of the things that we've heard very recently or, you know, over the last year or so is that many people aren't fans of the look and the aesthetics of the tower.
1:38:05
So we're looking at other design options and elements from other cities that's done it to see how we can make it different.
Erik D. Bottcher
1:38:12
That's great news.
1:38:13
About the design.
1:38:14
Yeah.
1:38:14
Because that's the main feedback that we get.
1:38:17
It's like a thirty two foot tall
Alex Stein
1:38:21
mushroom missile.
Matthew Fraser
1:38:24
Not a missile.
1:38:25
Not a missile.
Erik D. Bottcher
1:38:25
Yeah.
1:38:26
And it's like as big around as a as a like a telephone pole.
1:38:34
And I have to believe that there's better designs out there for it.
