When we looked at the PMMR, units started for homeless individuals and families year over year down 65%.
1:28:03
Supportive units started down 90%.
1:28:06
Units completed for homeless individuals and families down 43%.
1:28:09
Supported units completed down 58% year over year.
1:28:13
This is our homeless housing and supportive housing that meets that is, you know, the biggest priority of the agency to make sure that we're meeting the needs of people who we need to move out of the shelter system.
1:28:24
I recognize that, you know, it's the full year stats that matter, but wanna give you the chance.
1:28:31
Are you confident you'll be able to turn around each and every one of those data points around supportive housing and homeless housing units started and units completed this fiscal year to meet last year's goals.
Adolfo Carrión Jr.
1:28:42
So I'm glad you mentioned council member, and thank you.
1:28:46
For your partnership on Catman, North And West and Bedford Gardens.
1:28:53
Well, I I wanna I'm glad you mentioned the full year number because there's a rhythm and a pace to this that that has has to be taken into consideration.
1:29:08
You know, I started in my testimony, the chair, offered it in in her opening remarks.
1:29:14
You know, we had a banner year.
1:29:17
We had a record calendar year.
1:29:19
For new construction starts and for homeless housing units and for supportive housing.
1:29:28
So the administration remains committed to the goals that we've set, and we remain committed to the support of housing in 1515, and the We've accelerated the, as you know, the deadline on that, the commitment remains in terms of the total number.
1:29:47
We are looking to continue to be creative to get and getting there.
1:29:52
So there is no strain from the target And and it's really about the pace.
1:29:57
I don't know if Ahmed, you might wanna add a
Wendell Walters
1:29:59
a little bit to the
Adolfo Carrión Jr.
1:30:00
a little bit color to this or or Kim.
1:30:03
In terms of we can Kim has already been sworn in.
1:30:08
So I get away.
Kim Darga
1:30:11
Hello?
1:30:13
So PMMR is actually not a cycle for us that provides really meaningful information because most of our housing production happens at points in certain points in time in the year.
1:30:26
So November, December, May, June, And as the commissioner said, I mean, we have done a lot in the last couple of years to increase, to be able to increase production for homeless households to be able to increase their supportive housing production and those trends that we saw last year and both the fiscal year and the calendar year production, we expect to continue this year.
1:30:49
So just I totally appreciate
Lincoln Restler
1:30:52
the closings come and account year end of the fiscal year.
1:30:55
But those are significant declines for the 1st 4 months of the year that are concerning you're confident we're gonna hit last year's numbers on homeless housing and unsupported housing that we're in the PMMR.
Kim Darga
1:31:08
Yeah.
1:31:08
I don't it's again, July through October is just not a point of view.
Gardea Caphart
1:31:13
We're now
Lincoln Restler
1:31:13
9 months into the fiscal year, so you have a much better sense of where we are.
1:31:16
So I'm just trying to get an understanding have the PMMR data to look at, and I'm trying to get this moment on this.
Kim Darga
1:31:21
So we expect that larger trends of upward production of homeless units in support of housing units to continue.
Lincoln Restler
1:31:29
Okay.
