I wanna turn back to the inspector headcount reductions and then, you know, responding to your reporting that 75 combined the combined number of inspector reductions has been 75 inspectors.
3:32:26
So first, there are, you know, the numbers look great when we look at the the vacancy rate.
3:32:31
Right?
3:32:31
There are 21 of 21 budgeted boiler inspector positions are filled.
3:32:36
Yet there are 84,009 residential boilers in the city per fall open for that the department has provided to our committee.
3:32:44
Thank you for that, which means a ratio of 4000 boilers to 1 and, you know, recognizing that the that boiler inspections are done by the owner and they're reported to DOB, is there concern that DOB you know, does not have the available head count in this discipline to review all boilers boiler inspection reports.

I I listen, it's a it's a large number, but I guess you you you go by the service levels and they've been consistently good.
3:33:15
What I will tell you, madam chair, is that part of the the PEG process for us was those head counts that were taken would create or in the past created accruals that funded over time.
3:33:40
Those headcount, those lines weren't there, that those accruals weren't there, that OT had to be shut off quickly.
3:33:51
What we've tried to do is to manage that and treated as a valve to give the pun and where we saw the need or an uptick turned that OT back on.
3:34:10
Recently, a situation with elevator inspectors.
3:34:14
We had a situation with a Manhattan borrower commission.
3:34:17
So we're trying to do it smartly.
3:34:21
So there will be in some data points of and you see it some regression.
3:34:31
But for the most part, our service levels continue to be well within our mandates.
Pierina Ana Sanchez
3:34:38
Thank you, commissioner.
3:34:40
Following up on that, I have do you wanna add something?
Gina Ugarte
3:34:43
I would just like to add one point with respect to boy or inspect their headcount.
3:34:48
We currently have 21 budgeted headcount and 21 active.
3:34:52
So all the positions in that discipline are filled.
3:34:56
And to the commissioner's point, anytime there is a need for overtime based on constant reassessment of service levels, we will act in that in that accord.
