Council Member Kevin Riley asks the applicant to explain why they are requesting an R7A Zoning District instead of another zoning district. Neil Weisbard, an attorney from Seyfarth, responds by explaining the reasoning behind their choice.

  • Initially, they pursued an R7D district due to the presence of 6 and 7 story buildings in the area.
  • After meeting with the community board, they switched to R7A to accommodate the board's preference for buildings no higher than 7 stories.
  • The R7A district accommodates their proposed development as is.

Just I have one question for you.
2:13:42
Can you please explain a bit more why you're requesting the R Seven A Zona District opposed to another Zona District?
Neil Weisbard
2:13:49
So we originally were after meeting with City Planning, we were pursuing an r 7 day, which we thought was appropriate due to the numerous 6 and 7 story buildings in the area.
2:13:59
We met with the community board, and they did not wanna building higher than 7 stories.
2:14:04
And therefore, we chose the R7A, which accommodates the proposed development as is.

Thank you.
