Co chair Farius, and good eve good afternoon to chair and co chair Brooks Towers.
2:00:20
Thank you very much for hosting this meeting.
2:00:24
My comment is, well, 1st of all, I too am disappointed that Port Authority did not show up.
2:00:30
I was coming here to hear specifics on the job opportunities.
2:00:34
It's great to say that there were opportunities, but I wanted to hear effects and on the noise mitigation process that's happening.
2:00:42
So these are the things that, you know, some of the things that I was coming here to hear more about.
2:00:47
The representatives of EDC were not able to give us any specifics on those turns.
2:00:57
They did speak on the space that was recently allotted for the trucks to park overnight.
2:01:04
And I was looking to find out exactly how many spaces are now available.
2:01:10
She mentioned 100.
2:01:12
I wanted to know the total amount of spaces that are available?
2:01:15
Are they all open?
2:01:17
Is it failed?
2:01:18
Is it near full capacity?
2:01:20
And what in more specifics?
2:01:22
Also, I wanted to know exactly how are the space being used.
2:01:26
Is it being used by buses, trucks, trailers ex exactly, you know, more specifics.
2:01:32
And I also wanted to know can NYPD use the space for their towing and enforcement projects that they do when they are towing those illegal illegally parked trucks in our in our neighborhoods, and I streets.
2:01:48
And they also spoke on community engagement.
2:01:52
I was hoping to hear more specifics.
2:01:54
I I I am excuse me.
2:01:58
I sit on the board of the Rosedale Civic Association, and my community of Rosedale is impacted by JFK with the construction.
2:02:09
My I have friends and family that lives in Spring in, those communities are also directly impacted by JFK.
2:02:17
So I, you know, I was trying to learn more and hear more about exactly what is this outreach that they say they're doing?
2:02:24
Because in the Rosedale community, it's we're not getting the outreach that they're talking about.
2:02:30
I wanted to hear more about that.
2:02:32
And, hopefully, maybe this can be relayed back to EDC because we certainly need to know in our community about the job opportunities, the noise mitigation, and and I heard something about scholarships for students.
2:02:48
So I'm definitely, you know, hoping that we can hear more about this from EDC.
2:02:54
Thank you.
