What about the zoning?
2:59:14
I mean, we we're here to talk about we're changing zoning here.
2:59:18
Okay?
2:59:18
I mean, supporting small business is great.
2:59:21
I ran a small business for 30 years as most of you know, and my sister Joanne is in manufacturing, and her business was in college point for better than 20 years.
2:59:31
Okay.
2:59:32
Now this year, the city regulations are part of that made my business almost impossible to keep up and to run.
2:59:41
Alright.
2:59:41
So to these these regulations, plenty need to be cut.
2:59:46
Taxes can be cut.
2:59:48
Frivolous city administrative fees can be cut.
2:59:51
All of that would help small businesses tremendously.
2:59:55
But this isn't about cutting regulations or helping small businesses in my opinion.
3:00:01
This is about destroying zoning.
3:00:04
That's all you wanna do here right now, in my opinion, is to destroy zoning, and all I wanna do here is to protect our neighborhoods.
3:00:13
And that's not what's happening.
Gale A. Brewer
3:00:17
Don't?
Vickie Paladino
3:00:19
Well, there's Chelsea.
3:00:20
There's Greenwich Village.
3:00:21
I mean, all of this has been changed and it will be changed.
3:00:24
You're taking away the character of what we have here in New York.
3:00:29
This is a problem.
3:00:31
Okay.
3:00:31
We have historic districts.
3:00:33
Okay.
3:00:34
It would end up being a disaster.
3:00:35
I'm totally against it.
