This chapter depicts the procedure of administering an oath to members of the administration who are set to testify before the NYC City Council. The process is initiated by Senior Counsel Alex Paulinoff, who instructs the witnesses to raise their right hand and then proceeds to ask if they swear or affirm to tell the truth in their testimonies and to respond honestly to council member questions. After the witnesses affirm, they are thanked and informed they can begin their testimonies when ready.
