The New York City Economic Development Corporation aims to balance the revenue from the helicopter operator with community concerns by reducing operating hours.
- Operating hours for helicopter operations will be reduced by 30% in the new procurement
- The new procurement requires private investment in charging infrastructure to support adoption of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft when certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
- This is in addition to the 50% reduction in operating hours implemented in 2016

And and I just wanna know too, I think generally the public always understands when, like, let's say, bad weather folks have to gear off the I think the problem that we've seen, I mean, over a decade even though I've only been here here 3, is that that information is not transparent.

And it's not actually publicly made for use.

And I don't think anyone would ever want anyone to put themselves in a dangerous condition just because they're in a helicopter.

It's more public transparency of why people might be, of course, if they are if there is a reason to help validate people's lived experiences of the the issues that they're seeing every How does the administration balance the economic interest of the helicopter industry with the health and quality of life concerns raised by impact of communities?

I think demonstrated by our approach through the new procurement of balancing the revenue that we're collecting from the operator who manages the teleporte today with the quality of life concerns is really in the reduction of operating hours.

So in addition to the reduction by 50% in 2016, We're going further again in this new procurement of reducing those operators by 30%.

In addition to that, we're requiring a private investment and charging infrastructure to really reduce barriers for supporting the industry and adopting EV toll, a technology, as soon as it becomes available and is certified by the FAA.
