Okay.
3:13:42
My name is Jason Eric, and I'm not affiliated with a particular organization, though I appreciate their advocacy that I've seen here, as well as the council's leadership on this issue.
3:13:52
I'm simply a resident of Downtown Brooklyn, who has seen the incredible development of the Brooklyn Waterfront over the last 15 years.
3:14:00
So it's a mystery to me that the city would allow this triumph urban planning to be marred with near constant noise pollution.
3:14:08
It's also a mystery to me that the EDC and Merrill Administration is so transparently obstructionist to reform.
3:14:17
The DEPE representative's assertion that noise monitoring technology does not exist can be disproven with a 1 minute Google search.
3:14:24
And I can send along other vendors that supply this technology if the council would like.
3:14:29
I guess their attitude can be summed up as New Yorkers can and will put up with it they do every day.
3:14:36
So why shouldn't they put up with this?
3:14:38
But the simple matter the fact of the matter is we shouldn't have to.
3:14:44
What is happening is not right, and it's not fair.
3:14:47
And New Yorkers will notice where their politicians stand on this issue.
3:14:53
Thanks again for the council's leadership.
