The council member asks how the three workers first became aware of the Fair Work Week Law.

  • Max Peltcher learned about it through meetings with union organizers who informed him of his rights under the law and the ability to file complaints.
  • Lee Lambert learned about the law through their involvement with 32BJ and Starbucks Workers United.
  • Autumn Segara discovered the law after encountering a 32BJ Worker who was meeting her coworker, leading her to inquire and be informed she was covered under the Fair Work Week Law.

Thank you so much.
1:04:51
So I have a number of questions.
1:04:53
So for Max, Autumn, and Lee, how did you first find out about Fair Work Week?
Max Peltcher
1:05:01
In my case, it was having meeting with union organizers and being told about my rights under the Fair Work Week Law asking if I wanted to file a complaint.
1:05:13
Mhmm.
1:05:13
I know there is like, post scenes in my store, but I wasn't, like I didn't you know, in the somewhere in the back, but I haven't seen those up until that point.
Lee Lambert
1:05:23
Yes.
1:05:23
Similarly, it was via work I was doing with 32bj and Starbucks Workers United that I learned about the Fair Work Week well for the first time.
Autumn Segara

I was working within 6 months in Chipotle when I bumped into 32 BJ Worker, meeting another coworker of mine out of the job, and I asked a few questions, and they informed me that I was under the Fair Work Week Law.
Julie Menin

1:06:00

1:06:00
Sure.
