Council Member Lincoln Restler inquires if certain reports are automatically shared with the CFB, and whether they could or should be proactively shared.

  • City Clerk Michael McSweeney states that some information is automatically shared with the CFB.
  • He acknowledges the technical feasibility of sharing more reports but highlights the need to coordinate with the Office of Technology and Innovation (OTI) for automation.
  • McSweeney notes that manual processes could complicate broader information sharing due to the time involved.

And relatedly, and maybe this is a question for Mister Ryan as well, but are these reports proactively shared with the CFP?
1:57:21
Could they be?
1:57:22
Should they be?
1:57:23
What do you recommend?

Well, I mean, you know, there there are there is information from our reports that do it, you know, shares with automatically with the campaign finance board to our knowledge.
1:57:37
So you know, I I don't see any reason why we couldn't.
1:57:40
It would be another kind of it would be one of the things we would have to work with OTI on so that you know, it could be done automatically.
1:57:50
But some some you know, sometimes it's certain things are done automatically, and certain things are done manually.
1:57:56
And for manual things, you know, on their end, it could be more time to through it.
