The Chief Equity Officer explains the strategy to combat wage and occupational segregation.
- Agencies will produce their first racial equity plans based on 2022 election mandates
- The plans will focus on core pillars like budget allocation, hiring/staffing, and program design
- Efforts will combine agency plans with work from DCAS, the pay equity cabinet, and organizational assessments using available reports

We are going through that process as we speak, and we've designed that process in a way where we're asking agencies to focus on the core pillars of government, right, how they allocate their budget, how they hire and staff their organizations, how they design programs, etcetera.

And so our goal is in addition to the many efforts of Decast, in addition to the work of the pay equity cabinet, individual agency work will also take place to these plans.

And so we're providing that guidance as part of the overall planning process and they certainly would have access to these types of reports, right, to make assessments in their own organizations.
