The agency is currently focused on selecting a vendor to conduct a comprehensive study analyzing occupational segregation patterns across job titles in New York City's workforce.

  • Once a vendor is selected, the agency aims to gain better insights into areas requiring focus to address occupational segregation issues.
  • The main goal is to examine wage and occupational segregation through this detailed title-by-title analysis of pay equity data.
  • Identifying the right vendor to analyze the city's pay equity reporting data is the agency's primary current objective.

Your mandate includes establishing standards for data disaggregation, including related to race and gender.
0:39:13
Such standards may also include income and socioeconomic status.
0:39:17
What patterns has this agency identified, including with respect to wage and occupational segregation based on the city's pay equity reporting data, And then the second question is, what has the agency identified as identified in the pay equity reporting?
0:39:38
To address the bridging gaps that you've seen in in the reports.
0:39:43
You've highlighted some of it in your statement, but it will be great to understand what that is.

Yes.

So I think the greatest tool that we can employ right now to better understand the occupational segregation issue through the city is to identify the vendor to, you know, complete the the the study.
0:40:01
And so that's been our our main focus is on identifying that vendor so that we can actually look at the data from a title to title perspective.
0:40:10
Which is, you know, the main focus here is occupational segregation.
0:40:14
And so we think once we identify that vendor, we'll have a better idea of where we need to focus.

0:40:19
And how do you identify the vendor?
Katrina Porter
0:40:21
So this is mandated through local law 27.
0:40:24
Mhmm.
0:40:25
And so we've recently re issued our our request for quote to, you know, to identify an outside expert.
0:40:35
To conduct the analysis.
0:40:37
We're expecting responses from these vendors by the end of April, and hopefully, we'll have a vendor selected soon enough.
