You know, I was asked by a reporter earlier today, would this have a similar impact in all neighborhood to New York City.
4:45:03
And, you know, I said, it would have an impact in every single neighborhood in New York City but it's especially hard on low and moderate income New Yorkers who had, you know, whose parks are our front yards, and our backyards, our lungs, our places for joy, our places for sports, our places to gather, and this budget that the mayor has proposed would create significantly deteriorated conditions in our parks.

And at a time when we have such significant surpluses, I just can't fathom why anyone would wanna slash the Parks department's budget.

I I think it's a absolutely wrong decision, and I'm appreciative of leadership of of this council, especially chair Krishnan and speaker Adams and Chair Brandon.

For helping us to to fight to restore these cuts because they are absolutely dead wrong.
