Deputy Commissioner Ryan Merola states that the Department of Consumer And Worker Protection is currently conducting a six-month outreach and education campaign regarding the law on illegal car washes.

Enforcement of the law is scheduled to begin in July, after the education campaign ends.
The exact enforcement start date will be confirmed by Merola after the hearing.

My understanding is that the Department of Consumer And Worker Protection is well underway with their 6 month outreach and education campaign and that enforcement based on the effective date in the campaign ending should be ripe for this summer starting in July.
