The DHS Administrator explains that the agency partners with non-profit organizations to provide shelter services.
- The Administrator believes it is important for DHS to provide consistent services across different shelters.
- There can sometimes be disparities in how services are provided at different non-profit shelters in different boroughs.
- The goal is to ensure all families receive the same level of services when accessing shelters, regardless of which shelter they go to.
- The Administrator does not want families to receive different levels of service depending on the specific shelter they visit.

Well, I think it's important to recognize that what what we also wanna be able to do is that we, DHS, you know, Citi, that we do this work with consistency when we have and we do have none for profits in our single kinda doing that work.

And we find there's there's disparity when one, you know, in the Brooklyn and one in Bronx, it's not done consistency.

Again, I do believe that we have to kind of make sure that families get the same.

And I wouldn't you know, I I don't want families if you went to one certain one and and another one that is different.
1:04:36
Again, I do believe that we have to make sure that families are getting the same services that come through our doors.
