Would say for FY 24, I think we did a great job working with what for up until 2 days ago.
2:20:21
Actually, up until yesterday, we had only a director of community organizing and engagement who's been absolutely amazing.
2:20:28
We now have an associate with us and now it's a team of 2.
2:20:33
We will need additional staffing for that particular arm.
2:20:37
We've got 5 barrels and city of 8, 000, 000 people.
2:20:40
I need additional folks to do an adequate amount of organizing and engagement and ensure that the public is truly being heard.
2:20:49
And I think that that's a very critical part of the work that we're doing and why we were set up in the first place.
2:20:57
This cannot look like traditional government engagement.
2:21:01
This must be new, innovative.
2:21:03
It must have people at the table.
2:21:05
And community members must feel and know, not only that we hear them, but that we're working alongside them, and we're creating the proper channels for their voices to be heard.
2:21:16
And so for that, our staffing structure does have to look different than what maybe another agency or commission may look like, we will need more people, and we do have to institute innovative methods.
