Okay.
1:41:15
Because it's very important to them.
1:41:20
A specific need that CB11 highlighted and that the final environmental impact statement confirmed is for additional school capacity, especially at the primary level.
1:41:30
How does the administration plan to address this need?
1:41:33
And specifically, is your team committed to building a k through 8 school as I have advocated for?
Paul Philps
1:41:42
So thank you for the question, council member.
1:41:45
Obviously, we know that school seat and school needs are critically important.
1:41:50
At this particular juncture, as I mentioned before, we're exploring possibility of the school on the 601 Bronx Hill site.
1:41:56
But will certainly take back your request in consideration for K through 8, and we'll get back to you.
Kristy Marmorato
1:42:01
Because if these people are gonna live right there, they can't go to 1 school and have to go to the middle school down the block and then take care in another location.
1:42:10
If we kinda get that all in 1 facility that would be really helpful to the district.
Paul Philps
1:42:14
Understood.
Kristy Marmorato
1:42:15
Thank you.
Leslie Himmel
1:42:15
Mhmm.
Kristy Marmorato
1:42:16
CB11 also specifically called out the need for stem schools help him ensure that STEM educated is integrated into student curriculum here in district 13.
Paul Philps
1:42:28
So thank you.
1:42:28
So that's a great question.
1:42:29
So I think 1 of the things that we do know is that there is a possibility or not a possibility.
1:42:36
There is a plans for a a steam school in Morris Park, and those plans will be forthcoming.
1:42:41
I think additionally, we certainly can explore additional opportunities to incorporate that into curriculum potentially in a new school or into existing schools.
Kristy Marmorato
1:42:49
Okay.
1:42:50
And has the administration identified alternative sites to 1601 Bronxdale in the scenario that the private developer decides not to redevelop.
Paul Philps
1:43:01
That's a great question.
1:43:03
We're exploring all possibilities for a school site.
1:43:05
So yes.
