Good.
1:26:02
Thank you.
1:26:06
Alright.
1:26:07
My favorite parking mandates.
1:26:09
This application proposes to remove parking mandates across the whole rezoning.
1:26:14
Give us the given the added density, why does your team feel like this is appropriate?
1:26:20
And I'm talking about the parking mandates for the additional housing.
Paul Philps
1:26:24
Understood.
1:26:26
So Understood.
1:26:27
Parking is a huge issue.
1:26:29
We've continued to hear it.
1:26:30
I think The proposal put forward doesn't prevent future developments on providing parking.
1:26:36
I think we've talked about that.
1:26:38
I think what we're looking at is a balance and sort of creating, you know, choose between, you know, housing and also parking.
1:26:46
I think the other piece that I will also just mention that in in terms of creating transit oriented to develop it, 1 encourages people to take public transit.
1:26:53
But that being said, we certainly understand the need and value for for parking, and parking strategies.
1:26:59
And so we'll continue to work with yourself and DOT and others to provide additional tools and strategies to address the parking needs in the area.
Kristy Marmorato
1:27:07
We need parking.
1:27:08
We are very reliant on our cars.
1:27:11
Maybe in the future, we can come up with consideration to the parking mandate.
1:27:15
But as of now, we need we need that for the housing that we currently have.
1:27:19
If we start taking away parking and building even if we build a little bit of additional housing, we still need some kind of parking because another thing is Jacoby with your development on their their property.
1:27:33
With the zoning changes, more jobs are gonna be created.
1:27:36
And with the hopes of these jobs, they'll go to local Bronx residents.
1:27:40
So the reality that I'm traveling on this metro north line from New Haven or from Penn Station is not really likely.
1:27:49
Hopefully, it's gonna be the local people within the community, and the only access they really have to this hub is gonna be most likely through car or bus.
1:27:58
Now on the proposed site of New York Health And Hospitals, it's zoned a C43r61 on the current existing parking lot.
1:28:07
The community that borders this hospital is already struggling with parking, all in and around the community.
1:28:14
How do you propose to fix this already congested parking issue and will h and h supplement the parking that it will absorb with any new construction on the site?
1:28:24
And create it within the building that they're they're
Paul Philps
1:28:27
making.
1:28:29
Thank you for that question related to parking.
1:28:31
So our plate ended up itself will not impact to Kobe's parking needs after several discussions that we've had between DCP and H and A, including a walking tour that we did this winter We understand the critical operational needs for parking for both employees and for patient parking.
1:28:48
So any future plans for development on the site would address the needs of Jacoby, including play in patient parking.
1:28:56
And those plans ultimately would require approval by the H and H board.
Kristy Marmorato
1:29:00
Would you can would you commit to saying that any parking that is absorbed will be duplicated, if possible, maybe 3 tons as many spots within the structure?
Paul Philps
1:29:11
So I think we're still in the early phases like nothing has been developed on that side.
1:29:17
But I do we do we up completely understand the need to maintain that parking on that site and probably produce additional parking for any future developments on that site.
Kristy Marmorato
1:29:26
Okay.
1:29:27
Okay.
1:29:36
Okay.
1:29:36
Furthermore, your team has responded to our persistent call to address the congestion and parking constraints that will come not only from added dense BUT ALSO EXPAND IN METROW NORDS SERVICE.
1:29:49
THE ADMINISTRATION ACKNOWLEDGES THAT MANY COMMUNORS WILL DRIVE to the new stations to take advantage of the new express rail station to Penn Station, yet no park and ride or no new municipal parking lot is being proposed.
1:30:04
What is this rationale?
