Council Member Riley inquires about the possibility of reduced fares for riders using the new Metro North service within NYC limits or for Bronx residents. The MTA representative indicates that discounted fares are being considered.
- The MTA aims to make the service attractive and encourage usage.
- Fares similar to the Atlantic Ticket or City Ticket used by Long Island Railroad for inner-city locations are being contemplated.
- Final fare structures will be established by Metro North closer to the start of service.

For many in our communities, a new access to Manhattan and Westchester Suburbs, they're excited.

But for many access means more than simply a new train service.

Can your team commit to reduce fares for riders who take service within NYC limits?
1:56:38
Or for those residing in the Bronx?
UNKNOWN
1:56:41
Yeah.
1:56:41
As as I mentioned earlier, that's a great question because, obviously, we want folks to use this service.
1:56:47

1:56:48
