I'd like to explain my vote.

On on intro 346a, although I understand the the impetus for this bill, and I do appreciate the educational portion that was amended and put in.
0:07:42
I think that's important.
0:07:43
I just think that the city has invested 1,000,000,000 of dollars, in taxpayer funding to improve pedestrian safety, to put countdown clocks out, to put speed reducing mechanisms in place.
0:07:58
And the streets have never been more dangerous with bus lanes, bike lanes, scooters and vehicles going not paying attention to the the speed reducers.
0:08:10
And I think if we have people crossing, you know, not in designated areas where they can remain safe, I think it becomes a public safety issue.
0:08:17
Therefore, I am a no on on 346a.
0:08:21
On 746, although I think that in theory, it is really it sounds wonderful.
0:08:27
We've all seen that the DOT doesn't have the capability of keeping what they have already clean, also with the median income portion of this bill.
0:08:36
I think that my district would be exempt from any of these beautifications, therefore, AMNO.
