Sorry.
2:43:37
It was a connection issue.
2:43:39
Hi.
2:43:40
My name is Sandy Moy, and my son attends PS 183.
2:43:43
I'm strongly opposed to construction of this six hundred foot pavilion.
2:43:49
The size of this proposed building nearly 600 feet is not just excessive.
2:43:53
It's a direct direct to the safety and well-being of the children attending PS 183.
2:43:58
Allowing structure of this magnitude to be built so close to an elementary school is deeply concerning.
2:44:03
The height and scale of the project will bring significant risk to the safety of children.
2:44:07
Construction site of this size means heavy machinery, massive cranes, and a constant flow of trucks throughout streets.
2:44:13
Right next to where the children are walking and playing every day.
2:44:17
The potential for accidents is undeniable, and the larger the project, the greater the danger.
2:44:23
The safety isn't the only concern.
2:44:24
The process of building a six hundred foot structure will generate continuous noise dust and pollution for years.
2:44:30
Children's pelting lungs are especially vulnerable to find particulates matters being released by construction.
2:44:36
And we are talking about exposure during some of the most formative years of their lives.
2:44:41
The scale of the building will also disrupt the learning environment of PS 183.
2:44:46
Imagine trying to focus in a classroom with constant sound of drilling, pounding, and machinery operating just feet away.
2:44:52
Students will face relentless noise that will hinder their ability to concentrate and form well academically.
2:45:00
I've been here listening to some of the testimonies that is disturbing that it's a bogged down conclusion that this will be approved.
2:45:06
Without the consideration that is needed for the elementary school and the community.
2:45:11
We have not heard from MSK any specificity to ensure that our children's safety have been thought about for the community.
2:45:20
I guarantee the the panel to to think about these these issues before, you know, decide making a final decision.
2:45:28
Thank you.
