What does what does health department allocate?
1:50:51
I think you heard a little bit this from council member Justin Brennan, what does the health department allocate to ACC in the last budget?
1:50:58
I think we heard this 38,000,000.
1:51:00
And the question is, is that adequate?
1:51:02
In other words, we're I need that Department of Health to state whether or not whatever ACC gets is adequate.
1:51:09
Now I know o and b says, don't talk, don't say, don't do nothing.
1:51:13
I got it.
1:51:13
But can you be a little bit more honest?
1:51:15
Because there's obviously not enough funding going to this effort.
Corinne Schiff
1:51:21
So the city's budget is just under $34,000,000 for ACC, and it does include, perhaps, miswined stock when she provides some of those more detailed budget information.
1:51:32
The funding from the city does include many of the surrender prevention activities that ACC does and
Gale A. Brewer
1:51:39
It does or does not.
Corinne Schiff
1:51:39
It it does.
1:51:41
And ACC does also does additional private fundraising.
1:51:45
And the surrender prevention clinic, which I think is going to be an incredible innovation for ACC and very helpful for people in improving their ability to keep their pets is funded by the city.
1:51:58
You know, I'll I'll I'll channel my commissioner who will always say at the budget hearings that he would never turn down additional funding, but we're not here to ask for for money.
1:52:09
But no no commissioner, I think he says no commissioner would ever turn down an offer, but but we're not here to ask for

1:52:16
So so
Gale A. Brewer
1:52:16
the other question is how do we end up with this model of, you know, the private sector basically having to do all of this work?
