Council Member Ariola asks Samantha Knox about other discrepancies she noticed in the testimonies from the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), Mayor's office, and ACC.
- Knox highlights issues with reporting animal abuse cases, stating that reports to 911 are often closed without follow-up.
- She mentions that the mayor's office directs them to the ASPCA website for resources, which appears insufficient for addressing the scale of the problem in Rockaway Beach.

Mayor's office and ACC that kind of really stuck out in your mind?

Especially in regards to reporting animal abuse, Both of these cases, these hoarding cases, these, by the way, are 2 of the 45 cases in Rockaway Beach currently right now on my radar, where there are more than a 100 animals in jeopardy.

We've reported them and we are directed to 911, and they close the ticket usually in under 30 seconds with no follow-up.

We have reached out to the city for assistance, and the only answer we get from the mayor's office is to go to the aspca.org and find out resources there.
