Council Member Joann Ariola thanks Samantha Knox for her testimony and commends her rescue work. She then questions Knox about the Animal Care Centers of NYC's (ACC) claim that all animals leaving their care are spayed or neutered.

  • Knox refutes ACC's claim, stating that none of the animals her organization has pulled from ACC facilities have received spay/neuter services or medical care.
  • The exchange highlights discrepancies between ACC's testimony and the experiences of rescue organizations.

Samantha, I wanna thank you for coming here today, and I have had the the honor of coming to your rescue and and seeing the work that you do And if if anybody ever wants to Samantha runs an amazing show, I mean, it's incredible place, disabled cats, kittens, NICU.
3:05:06
I mean, it's a full gamut.
3:05:08
You does this all from donations and mostly from her own pocket.
3:05:13
But I would just like to ask you a question.
3:05:15
Risa Weinstein from the ACC stated under oath that every animal that leaves their care from ACC is Spade or neutered.
3:05:24
Would you say that that was your experience with ACC?
Samantha Knox
3:05:28
Our it is not.
3:05:29
Our organization is part of the ACC New Hope program.
3:05:32
And while I primarily pull kittens underage, not a single animal that we have ever pulled from the facility, which is well over a 100 at this point, has had any spare neuter service or medical care or has been sent home with any medication or further follow-up.
