My my name is Ann Margaret Daniel, and the first thing I'd like to do is add my voice to the chorus of people who are thanking you.
7:24:03
For today.
7:24:05
Thank you all for this hearing to madam care, Schulman, counselors, Ariola and Holden, to the vets who donate their care to NYC ACT New Hope Partner Rescue's special thanks.
7:24:20
There's been much praise of the new NYC ACC buildings today and anticipation of others to be opened or in the case of Brooklyn to be reopened in the future.
7:24:32
Large modern buildings with light throughout and medical rooms are wonderful, but not when they have dirty kennels and untended dogs.
7:24:41
The recent issues that were reported by the NY Post and other news organizations at the New Queen's facility are grave, and I'd like to ask that they really must be monitored for the safety of the animals as well as the people working there.
7:24:55
Agrees and renovations have provided nice public space and office space but the new Staten Island building actually has fewer kennels for dogs than did the crumbling old building, and things like that just shouldn't be.
7:25:11
I I do wanna commend the ACC Foster program.
7:25:14
And I'm very proud to be a member of it.
7:25:17
Please foster an ACC dog or cat if you can, and go volunteer at the nearest shelter building.
7:25:23
It literally makes all the difference.
7:25:27
I also am very proud to be an ACC adopter.
7:25:30
However, I'd like to tell you just briefly about my adoption experience.
7:25:35
We saw a puppy named Beauty, a pitbull lab mix.
7:25:39
On the at risk list back in July of 2019, We saw her solely because she was shared by animal advocates on the website than known as Twitter.

Just if you could just summarize and
Ann Margaret Daniel
7:25:53
My thank you for the chance to do so.
7:25:57
This puppy was to be killed not for any health or behavioral reasons just for being fearful.
7:26:02
She was fearful because she was in heat.
7:26:05
There was no sort of proper attention
Meagan Licari
7:26:09
given to
Ann Margaret Daniel
7:26:09
her physical condition And there was absolutely no follow-up whatsoever on our adoption.
7:26:15
As to the overcrowding issue, thank heavens for adoptions.
7:26:19
But in conclusion, there must be oversight of these adoptions.
7:26:23
No one followed up at all on our adoption.
7:26:26
Our references were not called, not even our vet.
7:26:28
There was no site visit, no request even for a video tour or photographs of our home.
7:26:33
And beauty was delivered to us in heat and unpaid.
7:26:37
It was only because I'm honest that I had her spade myself and provided a certificate of that to the ACC about a month and a half later.
7:26:45
I never heard anything at all from that follow-up.
7:26:48
So thank you for list to what I have
Arina Hinzen
7:26:50

7:26:50
