Council Member Gale A. Brewer presents slides showing data on unlicensed cannabis stores in NYC and the enforcement efforts against them. She highlights the large discrepancy between the number of stores sealed and those estimated to exist, as well as the low payment rate of summonses issued.
- The first chart shows a difference of approximately 2,600 between sealed and estimated unlicensed cannabis stores.
- The second chart reveals that only 3% of summonses issued by the sheriff and upheld by OATH have been paid, leaving 97% unpaid.
- Brewer acknowledges the difficulty in viewing the slides and provides verbal explanations to ensure understanding.

It's not a great large screen, so I want to be able to tell you what it is, and I'll turn it over to the council.
