Daniel Flynn
0:57:51
As you mentioned, active resources are we are asking our catching marshals to to accomplish a tremendous feat at the base.
0:58:00
And I think that's our core competency is fire investigation.
0:58:04
The doll provides a tremendous resource for us at any scene.
0:58:08
However, the marshal himself.
0:58:11
We we just started this shooting in 2017.
0:58:14
I think we need to make sure that we provide the citizens a timely response to to these incidents to conduct an investigation, and that that core competency is done by the catching fire marshals at the base.
0:58:25
But anything that improves our efficiency, we will definitely support that.
0:58:30
And as you mentioned, our resources are stretched very thin.
0:58:33
But if given more resources, of course, we look into expanding.

I think you all my questions ahead of time on the handlers and training and and and what's required.
0:58:43
So thank you for that.
0:58:52
I don't think you mentioned where they're trained.
0:58:54
Are they trained at the rock?
0:58:55
Or
Daniel Flynn
0:58:56
It depends.
0:58:57
We we do various trainings specific to different incidents.
0:59:02
But most most of the time, we do train at the rock.
0:59:04
We have a collapse file there that we can conduct search and rescue.
0:59:08
They they do demonstrations a lot.
0:59:10
I don't know if any members of the council have ever seen one of our canine demonstrations out of the rock.
0:59:14
We we do that from time to time.
0:59:16
It's it's specific to what we are working on at the time.
0:59:21
They may travel around to go to NYPD facilities as well to train.
0:59:25
NYPD has a lot of canine units, so we do train with them as well.
