Council Member Holden inquires about how the Department of Veterans Services (DVS) evaluates the effectiveness of the Veterans Advisory Board (VAB). Commissioner Hendon explains that while it's not directly within their mission, they assess the VAB based on the dynamism of their relationship and the successful implementation of VAB recommendations.
- DVS looks at how well they work together with VAB
- Success is measured by the ability to bring VAB recommendations to fruition
- The synergy between DVS and VAB is a key factor in evaluating effectiveness
