  • Emphasizes the cost-effectiveness of social media campaigns
  • Proposes engaging college students in designing real campaigns as a win-win situation
  • Suggests campaign themes such as 'Be proud of your service' and encouraging community involvement
  • Offers to work with colleges and invites the commissioner to engage with students on this initiative

Mhmm.
0:46:18
As as you you were asking that question and what what could we do to to actually expand civic engagement within our veteran community.
0:46:30
I come from advertising, so I always think social media campaign advertising.
0:46:34
Social media costs nothing.
0:46:36
To put out.
0:46:38
And designing posters or just an ad campaign could be done within our acuity schools, our colleges that have design departments.
0:46:50
And I come from that, by the way.
0:46:52
So, you know, we always worked with City Hall when I was a professor at at City Tech, and we did public service campaigns.
0:47:01
Which is that's a win win.
0:47:03
It's win for the students designing a real campaign.
0:47:06
And and certainly, it's a win to the not for profits.
0:47:08
Mhmm.
0:47:09
And certainly, if we do a veteran campaign, even on self identification, be proud of your service.
0:47:16
You know, that I mean, something a campaign like that, you know, just to back the that that that veteran and and into civilian life and then telling them how to, you know, actually work with your community to be part of the community, to feel that they they have something to offer.
0:47:33
So I'm going to work with some colleges and maybe you can visit with me or one time in a couple of days and just engage with some of our students in college to come up with a campaign.
0:47:47
To try to get veterans.
0:47:49
Not only is self identified, but also civic engagement, which is the topic of this.
0:47:55
This and and it's and, again, it's very it's done very easily.
0:47:58
It's not that difficult.
0:48:01
So any other before I let you go, any other questions or plans that you have to expand civic engagement for our veterans other than what we mentioned today?
0:48:12
Any other ideas that you might have?
