Council Member Lee inquires about strategies for recruiting B-HEARD staff, given past challenges in hiring. Representatives from NYC Health + Hospitals discuss their recruitment efforts.
- Staffing challenges are part of a nationwide trend in difficulty finding mental health providers
- Recent ad campaigns in subways and on social media aim to attract social workers to Health + Hospitals and specifically to the B-HEARD program
- The number of B-HEARD clinicians has increased as a result of these efforts
