So I'm glad you mentioned the availability of pools.
1:02:17
I'm sure that chair spoke about the program that he and I launched along with Asphalt Green and the Gray Foundation where we are providing free swim lessons to 2600 Second graders across the city in communities in need.
1:02:32
As part of that program, we mapped out every available pool and found there close to a 1000 pools in the city that could be utilized.
1:02:40
I mean, I think one of the most important things that can come from this pilot program we're doing is that we can prove that these other pools they need to be utilized.
1:02:48
If we're really gonna be teaching children across the city how to swim, we have to utilize these other pools.
1:02:55
So when will the parks department adopt that kind of strut outside of the box thinking where you're using not just city pools.
Sue Donoghue

Thank you for the question council member.
1:03:06
And as I said, you know, we're working closely with DOE.
1:03:09
We work this year with cooney and SUNY on, you know, providing additional pools.
1:03:15
But in terms of private pools and outside pools, that's not something that we right now have purview over and those additional expense.
1:03:21
But that that would that would come from you know, other arrangements.
1:03:25
Right now, we're working with our sister agencies where we can to be able to expand.
