Matt, I'm chair if you allow me to only because I didn't have the opportunity to respond to council member Stevens.
2:35:01
Okay.
2:35:01
Do know that when it comes to intro 735 a, we are in support of the intent.
2:35:09
It's just that we are worried about how it is currently written.
2:35:14
As a department, we have 0 tolerance for sexual harassment and sexual oppression.
2:35:25
But the way in which it is written right now or proposed rather, it requires for specific details about the sexual assaults, incidents, that would necessarily disclose identifying information about that very sensitive event or events, and that is where we would like an opportunity to work closely with the council.
Sandy Nurse
2:35:51
Yeah.
2:35:52
I'm I'm I'm absolutely positive council member Stevens would love to figure out how to make this workable because I don't think we're asking for, you know, the ability to pinpoint down people, but we do wanna understand the volume.
2:36:08
Of what's happening because I know that maybe you personally, and and an institution might say that personally are committed to 0 tolerance, but the systemic nature of what we're seeing shows that there is clear breakdown in how things are operationalized, the communication, the you know, the reporting, even the the lateness in reporting chronically.
2:36:27
So as an institution having something written on paper doesn't matter
Sherrieann Rembert
2:36:32
Mhmm.
Sandy Nurse
2:36:33
At this level.
2:36:34
So I think she we need to have the data.
