Hi.
2:25:40
My name is Jeremy.
2:25:42
I'm with Voyager Global Mobility.
2:25:44
We run 2 of the largest rental TLC rental fleets in the city, buggy and fast track.
2:25:51
We are weekly, no strings attached rentals.
2:25:54
We do not track drivers in long term leasing agreements.
2:25:58
We're an important part of the industry.
2:26:00
We're here so that people can go on vacation for 2 or 3 months abroad.
2:26:04
That they can save their expenses if they get deactivated or find themselves in other trouble.
2:26:12
We do whatever we can to help drivers who are deactivated, involving giving any documents that we have, payment history, contracts, whatever we can do.
2:26:19
Sometimes we'll get calls from the IDG or from Uber or Lyft.
2:26:23
Here today in terms of your overall oversight of the TLC to request that you sincerely focus on the insurance storm that is about to hit.
2:26:34
We manage our insurance responsibly.
2:26:36
It's built into to our very fair rental pricing.
2:26:40
We have a large array of nice vehicles that are fully covered.
2:26:45
We manage our insurance responsibly.
2:26:46
We've never been late on a payment.
2:26:48
We pay out claims.
2:26:50
With American Transit, if one of our drivers gets in an accident with them, I will fax a claim over.
2:26:56
I will wait 2 months.
2:26:57
I will never get paid.
2:26:59
It's a shame that everyone has known about this forever that they have let drivers get on with low premiums, so people aren't managing their finances responsibly.
2:27:09
The other major players, Hereford and Maya, are not that much better.
2:27:14
And so this is a storm that's brewing.
2:27:16
We commend what the larger council or committee or city council discussed on changing the insurance rates.
2:27:24
But before any conversation about rental prices or the government regulating rental prices, the city needs to get a real strong handle on the insurance industry and its major effects on drivers, as well as interest rates borrowing for people who are buying their cars, etcetera.
2:27:42
Thank you.
