Council Member Rita Joseph inquires about the possibility of one bus serving multiple schools. Glenn Risbrook confirms that this is possible and provides an example of how it works.

  • One bus can serve multiple schools, depending on their proximity and session times
  • An example is given of a bus dropping off students at one school at 8:00 AM and then at another nearby school at 8:15 AM
  • The routing considers the proximity of schools and their session times to maximize efficiency

Yes.

So just to
Rita Joseph

give us an example, would that look like?
Glenn Risbrook

Sure.

We will have students on a route that will have a session time of 8 o'clock to a school in district 30, and then another school that may be done on block with a session time of 8:15.

So all the schools that all the students that are in proximity that bus route can reach will be able to pick up both sets of students, drop off one set of students at 8 o'clock, and then traverse to the other school, and drop those kids off at 8:15.
